Playactor device not appearing in Second Screen App on iOS

Open remoscq opened this issue 2 years ago • 3 comments

When "Registering with device via Second Screen. Open the PS4 Second Screen app and attempt to connect to the device named: PlayActor" appears in the terminal, I cannot find any PlayActor device in the second screen app, it does find the ps4, if I browse.

I'm already running ps4-waker and wanted to use PlayActor instead, is there any way I can send the credentials from ps4-waker to PlayActor so I could skip this?

I can't find the credentials.json file anywhere, any help would be appreciated!

Update!

PlayActor still won't appear on my iOS device but it did on my Android phone. I tried reinstalling ps4-waker just to be sure and it worked flawlessly, it appeared on my iOS device with no issue whatsoever.

For those experiencing the same issue try searching for PlayActor on an android device, if you have one Good luck!

Strange, thanks for the extra context! I'm not sure why iOS would work differently—especially when ps4-waker still works fine. I'm pretty busy these days and don't have a PS4 handy so not sure when I'll be able to get to this, but PRs welcome...

Could this to be to do with port forwarding? There are ports that need to be forwarded for remote play and second screen, presumably the same ports would need to be open for PlayActor to appear in second screen.
