Dhwem3 keeps crashing as i open it m1 mac

i put the files from base folder into library-application support-dhwem3 but the app keeps crashing despite that.

you should put the whole base/ folder there ("there" being ~/Library/Application Support/dhewm3/), not just its contents. Are you using the binaries from https://macsourceports.com/game/doom3 ?

If you still can't get it to work (with the mac source ports binaries and the correct path), you could try asking in that community (their discord or https://github.com/MacSourcePorts/dhewm3/issues) - I personally don't even own a Mac.
