Problems with Z590 Vision D

Hello Friend, how are you?

Sorry for the contact here, but I have no way out.

I bought a z590 and the hackintosh is ok, but the mobo has been bothering me in some ways.

It takes ~45 seconds to power up and complete the POST, then it starts loading the OS (Opencore, Windows, macOS, whatever).

When I turn on the mobo after turning the PSU off and on, the board turns on, after a few seconds it turns off and on again. This only happens when I disconnect the PSU from power.

To access the BIOS (DEL) or boot menu (f12), it is extremely slow, it says "Entering boot..." or "Entering setup...". After about 8 seconds the BIOS or Boot menu opens

Enabling XMP for me is impossible, and I have good memories (Corsair 4000Mhz Dominator CL19) and they work normally in another setup.

I recorded some videos with the examples, can you tell me if this happens to you too?

I feel with you! I had the same issue. I bought new RAM that is on Gigabyte's supported list (https://download.gigabyte.com/FileList/Memory/mb_memory_z590-vision-g.pdf) Issue is gone now.

Other ideas: Check the 4 status LEDs on the bottom right of the mainboard.

My board is super picky about PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSDs too. Was difficult to find a configuration where it booted.

Flash BIOS F4 (not F4d) which came out very recently.

I do use this RAM now (4x 16GB): http://geizhals.de/2314796 XMP works too.

Hey @m33x, thanks for reply! :)

I found some threads on reddit reporting the same behavior, but the person switched motherboard to another brand. https://www.reddit.com/r/gigabyte/comments/nyjjjm/gigabyte_z590_vision_d_help/

The status of 4 LEDs are like a party hehehehehe LOL, but not freeze.

About the BIOS, i tried various versions, but the behavior are the same.

I decided to buy another motherboard, Gigabyte W480 Vision D. I want to test if it will be that problematic too.

This Z590 Vision D I will return and request my refund.

I live here in Brazil, it is very difficult to have these "high end" motherboards due to the high cost, unfortunately.

My memory kit: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Memory/DOMINATOR-PLATINUM-RGB/p/CMT32GX4M2K4000C19

Say that Intel XPM Certified, but not works in Intel platform HAHAHAHAHA LOL.

I was happy to hear that I bought the memories from the QVL list and it worked.

Your boot (POST) is now fast? Is access to BIOS or Boot Menu quick too?

Thanks Bro! ;)
