Receiving similar CSI for different finger gestures

I am getting similar CSI for two different finger gestures (circle right and zoom). I want to make sure I am collecting the CSI right. So after I run the "./log_to_file file_name.dat" command on the receiver, I ping the router using another laptop and as soon as I start receiving signal on the receiver, I start performing the finger gesture between the receiver and the router. Is this the correct way to receive CSI or am I doing something wrong?
