Exact location of issue

Problem details

The cross-referencing fails to find the reported labels in latexml's post-processing.

There is also a HackerNews complaint about the way dark mode ends up occluding the listings in this paper, details here: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=32779296#32780081

I wish they would also report issues on github on top of HN commenting, but I'll add the breadcrumbs for now.

The "listings+dark mode" issue may require another general refactor, where we have a predefined palette of CSS class names for common colors, so that I can assign variable specific color values to each of them based on whether the light/dark theme is active.
