This article has gotten mildly better (from a developer perspective) and now contains all pieces of the figure, sadly scattered around.

We haven't focused on tikz for the Full regeneration at the end of 2022, but maybe some time in the coming months. There ought to be just a couple of conceptual sizing upgrades left to do.

Jotting down another detail here, which is that there is a particular "overlay technique" used to layout this figure.

The key detail is that the figure consists of two separate {picture} environments, the second of which is offset back to overlap the first. This may be rather difficult to properly capture in LaTeXML, unless we can rewrite the two adjacent SVG images into a single one.
