Is there a chance to comeback from a bad Recovery?

Hi guys! Sorry for the little off topic but I never rooted mi S5. The problem is that mi S5 is stuck on a message "Boot failure. It will take about 5 minutes to restore your initial version. Please be patient". This repeats every 15 minutes, no WIFI, no lights. So, I think that the recovery is trying to boot from the previous OK firmware after a failure to upgrade, but for some reason it cant.

So, what do you think that are my chances to get in there and flash a good firmware to recover my S5? Am I totally stuck or there is chance to recover from that without having to buy a new motherboard?

Thanks!

Well, if your device is still under warranty, then you should send it back. Usually it might be a broken eMMC flash in some sort. Theoretically you can maybe recover the system over serial. At least you should see over serial why the device is complaining.

Hi @dgiese Out of luck and warranty here. When you say "over serial" you mean the microUSB connector from the motherboard? AFAIK that port is under some kind of security over the original firmware.

Finally I replaced the mainboard and the vacuum is working again but I saw in the "Issues" section that more and more people are having the same issue so I will keep the old board at hand.
