Visualising volume data with surface boundaries

Open sidchop opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

First up - amazing package, thank you so much for making this - it has been much needed and is very welcomed! I was wondering if there is currently a way to visualize volume data with the surface boundaries overlaid like the image below:

Thanks!

Hi sidchop,

no, sorry but this is not supported yet. Actually the whole topic of volume visualization is very limited in fsbrain at this time and I am not too happy with the current functions/API. I thought about implementing exactly what you are asking for once, because it is very useful for quality assessment.

I will extend the volume visualization capabilities in one of the next releases, and hopefully implement what you are asking for in the process.

Hi Tim - thanks for the response. Yes, our intention was to use this feature to do quality assessments on large datasets. Great to hear that you plan to implement it.

I will just leave this issue open and let you know once I have come up with something.
