Identity for things?
Will this support identities of 'things' and not just people/devices?

Is this questions about interacting with II from IoT devices? The only requirement to interact with Internet Identity is to be able to make canister calls and sign messages using a signature scheme as described here. Does this answer your question?
However, I don't yet see the use-case for doing so. Would you mind describing the context of your question?
Hi @frederikrothenberger The use case is to leverage identity as immutable identifier to represent a "thing" such as a car-part, drivers license, etc.
The idea is to (amongst other things) manage provenance for such a thing...

However, I'm not sure that Internet Identity is the correct tool for the job. II is an identity provider intended for active clients that need access to a shared identity by means of their public key. I would assume that car-parts, drivers licenses, etc. are not actively interacting with anything, right? This seems more like an NFT related idea...
