I like the behavior of how ShortCatApp.com allows me to search in the (Cmd+Shift+Space) search bar, and how it reduces the highlighted elements as I type more characters and making it more precise

Good one, However make try to make it as user friendly as possible.

The very reason I prefer Vimac over Shortcat is, I use . mode a lot (Vimiums default experience)

Shortcat makes . experience harder by making me to

  1. Press Cmd+Shift+Space.
  2. Press .
  3. Look for the letter
  4. Hold Ctrl while pressing the letters to place the green cursor there
  5. Then press enter.

Vimac is winning the race, it's just straightforward.
