Is library up to date? Relationship to FTDI's LibMPSSE 1.0.3 release of August 16, 2022?

FTDI announced the release of LibMPSSE 1.0.3 August 16, 2022; see this thread:

Is this github repository still under development? How does it relate to the latest release from FTDI? Does it fix the bugs in FTDI's latest release mentioned in the above thread? It would be great if the ReadMe could address these issues...
