Reaching out because of auto rejection on slack application form
Hi.
I was recommended to join the DevRel community on slack from an existing member that had reached out to me in the past.
As I detailed in my application, I've done a lot within DevRel, notably:
- Was a part of the first GitHub Accelerator program with the goal of finding new ways to make open source more sustainable,
- Am a conference speaker
- Am a open source maintainer myself of pypandoc, said project that got accepted into the program.
However, the application automatically rejected my submission, because as my professional job, I'm "only" a software engineering intern at Uber, despite having been in the open source developer space for over 13 years, and all else I listed above :)
So as described before the application process, I'm now reaching out to (hopefully) where some admins can see this, as to not make duplicate applications :)
Still a no from my side, they aren't working in devrel as their primary occupation.
