Is it consistent? If so, have you tried debugging it?

hey @VABAV, I'm having the same problem. I used to have a windows 8.1 x64 with Vmware 10 and it worked great, now I've had to do a fresh install using windows 8 x64 and Vmware 14 but it crashes everytime and doesn't function.

I still get the msgbox with "vmware_scroll_start result:0" after closing the crash dialog. interestingly, when I start Vmware again, it returns me to the exact same state, so the VM machine didn't stop working, only the VMware GUI crashed.

I tried rolling back to Vmware 12 or 10 the exact version I had but the same thing happens. Could this be due to the Synaptics drivers version?
