Does Assemble Collections work?

I've been trying to use some of the assemble collections to generate links to pages. Do collections work for this project?

This feature is actually going to be part of the version 2 release. The Assemble process will look for all .json or .yml files in the specified data folder and then made available in the assemble build process.
