When scrubbing through the time line chart on this chart the interactivity is not the smoothest, this is because we re-render it during each scrub movement.

This shouldn't be the case, we should only render at end of the movement, we shouldn't render for every move. We should also consider async rendering of the components in this chart & maybe off loading some of the computations to a web worker.
