This is working correctly for me on Kubuntu 20.04 using KDE Plasma and Desktop App v5.0.2. Closing unless this issue is still relevant.

@kris-watts-gravwell Sounds like it could be an issue with `libnotify` and Electron. Could you try downgrading both `libnotify` and the Desktop App and see if downgrading either fixes the issue?...

@brynwhyman On Mac, which distribution are you using? If you're using MAS, the logs will be in `~/Library/Containers/Mattermost.Desktop/Data/Library/Logs/Mattermost`
