Horrible system performance with gminer on pop OS
Running a 2080 super with gminer getting about 36 mh/s which is about what I am expecting. However when I am running gminer the system performance tanks significantly it is often hard to even turn the miner off. I just recently switched to pop OS and never had this issue on windows. I tried lowering the intensity to 90% but the issue persists.
GMiner does that with some driver versions. You should be getting around 44+ mh/s.

I have the latest nvidea driver. Should I downgrade? Do you know which driver works better?
for Windows 10 it is 466.77

On Debian latest nvidia-driver is 470.74 I don´t know what the latest version is n PopOS.
Sad there is nothing here yet. I have the same issue (not only with pop os tho). Mining on linux is usually slightly worse compared to an optimized windows. 1070 ti windows: 32 mhs Linux: 26-29 mhs (varries quite a bit). I am ok with that. With my gpu and current prices its not worth it anymore anyways. ETH is only worth half of what it was before as well.
Still from time to time I do if i need a few dollars at the end of the month but running gminer or any miner at all slows down the entire system heavily. Watching videos? Enjoy stuttering. I wish there was a workaround.
