Add an option to select type of highlight for paragraph

Subject of the issue

Currently the paragraph highlighter only adds a border to highlight paras. We can have 2 options:

1. Add border to paragraph (the current behavior)
2. Add background to paragraph (where the color would be added to the paragraph) Feel free to ask any question.
