That issue with a fix is here: #35412

From your post the base subtotal is £171.43, so I would assume the individual units are actually £17.143 and multiplying this by 10 gives the 3p difference.

I am pretty sure this is going to be related to the custom number of items per page being set at 499. [Here is a post of something similar](https://magento.stackexchange.com/questions/324369/how-to-reset-the-products-grid-filter-dont-loading-in-the-admin-panel).
