I'll try to do that. But I'm almost sure that it relates to the buggy Realtek driver for the Bluetooth chip. It restarts and raises errors randomly.

You'd better ask it in a forked repo https://github.com/russhughes/st7789_mpy It has some improvements over the current version and maybe it can work with the tool you mentioned
