Problem

Current situation:

• We default to holding meetings for reviewing refined items.

Why this is problematic:

• Takes too much time.
• Feels unnecessarily inefficient at times.
• Introduces frustration.

Definition of Awesome

In the ideal state success looks like:

• We refine and review ad-hoc as part of our pull-process (including swarming if necessary).
• Everyone needs to submit approval for an issue to be refined.

Next Target Condition

What will be different:

• The process for refinement will switch to be continuous.
• Everyone can refine in parallel, and we support each other ad-hoc towards obtaining the same level of alignment.

How we'll measure success:

• Evaluating the feeling of frustration towards refinement in the team.
• Monitoring number of refined items per week.
• Monitoring cycle time of refined items.
