what is token_create() used for?

there's this function: https://github.com/ambiorix-web/ambiorix/blob/828f153cc40c126274550070cc938fd69ddf5977/R/token.R#L8

can't find any reference to it in ambiorix, but it's exported. what was the intended use for it?
