Strange problems.
Hi, I have a QHY MiniCam 8M. Using both Stellarmate and Astroarch (which I prefer), I notice some strange problems with the Green and Blue files. When I sum the files with Pixinsight, it tells me it can't get a reference file for the LNC. I noticed this problem with the green files on stellarmate. I think it's an Ekos problem. If I edit the photos with an app, nothing strange happens, but when I load the masters in Pixinsight, the Red is black with a few white dots, like a normal master, the other two are much brighter, and have the same gain and offset. I also wrote to QHY, but without obtaining a solution. The drivers they write for Linux seem to suck. In Windows you can choose Linearity HDR and Full Resolution, in Linux you can't.
hey @Paolo2710, could it be about setting the W and B level in Ekos? ASI cameras suffer from that issue as the indi driver sets up a 50 50 which doesn't really work. I had a look at the ASCOM driver once and noticed the discrepancy so maybe it's the same for QHY
Thanks for your reply. As you can see, I was saying I prefer Astroarch because it's more stable. Stellarmate used to crash, and now you always get random responses. But they charge for their program! It's the first time I've gotten a response like yours. Never from Jasem.
I can even use the Asi 120mm mini in your program. The other program keeps crashing, but the driver keeps crashing. So what depends on the distribution or on who knows more or less about it?
I can't find the B&W values

For ASI is in the Indi panel camera settings, unsure about QHY, maybe there is no such a setting there 🤔
I looked in the Indi panel

Hard to tell, the way they work is substancially different, packages are packaged differently and we are very opinionated about how stuff should work for the end user.

It wasn't a criticism of you.
