Cant turn off autofocus, OnePlus 8T, Paid version

Hi, I am unable to change the autofocus setting, pressing the button on the phone lets me select Manual (tap) or Continuous, but choosing manual does nothing, taps dont change the focus, it still autofocuses. Likewise the autofocus button on the desktop client, nor the web interface change anything.

I have a OnePlus 8T.

I am currently updating the phone to latest OS to see if that changes anything, the change logs do mention issue with lens permissions when using third party camera apps, so this MIGHT be the issue.

EDIT: Problem persists after updating.
