[US - UXD] As MILES HARDIN, when the workshopping of my idea is completed, I want to submit it for review, so I can get Dev Launchers evaluate it without any hassle or inconvenience
Considerations
Miles has finished workshopping his idea and is ready to submit it for review to Dev Launchers. After submitting it, he will receive an email notification letting him know his idea has been received, and that Dev Launchers will provide feedback on their decision within a reasonable timeframe.
We should have into consideration:
- Should the action to submit for review be visible in both the workshopping and the dashboard page?
- How much time is a reasonable timeframe for Miles to wait to get feedback on a decision from Dev Launchers?
- How can we make sure that Miles doesn’t submit for review his idea by error?
⚠️ This ticket DOESN’T include the following design tasks:
- Email and platform notification that his idea was approved or rejected.

- New design system style guide by the Universal Design Team
Acceptance criteria
- The idea submission to the review process should be clear and easy to follow.
- Miles should have an action in the workshopping page or his dashboard (or both) to submit his idea for review by Dev Launchers.
- To prevent possible errors, such as Miles accidentally clicking the submit for review action, and because submitting the idea for review is a critical action, we should include a confirmation step before submitting. Additionally, we can provide a list of criteria for Miles to check before submitting, such as:
- Has Miles ensured he has all the necessary information completed and refined?
- Is his idea technically feasible and valuable for people? And as a nice to have: has he provided any research to support this?
- A friendly reminder that the more likes he has, the better chances his idea has to be selected This will help ensure that Dev Launchers does not receive ideas that are incorrectly formatted or incomplete.
- After submission the roadmap of his idea should be updated to the corresponding step and the workshopping page shouldn’t allow people to comment on it anymore.
- Miles should receive a confirmation via email after submitting his idea, letting him know that Dev Launchers will evaluate his idea within a reasonable timeframe.
- New visual design (hi-fi mockups) are designed.
- The designs are consistent with the overall look and feel of IdeaSpace and have implemented the following updates from the new design system style guide:
- New grid
- Typography (Headers now are in Oswald font)
- Components are updated and linked with the new style guide
- Mockups are web responsive and include the 3 breakpoints of Desktop (XL), Mobile (Default) and Tablet (SM)
- Final and approved mockups were included in the “LATEST DESIGNS” layer in Figma.

Hey team! Please add your planning poker estimate with Zenhub @alicefate @dbradham @jordanmcousins @JulieMass @katehirschman @MariliaDP @NokaUX @RETprojects @Rutuja177
Hey @NokaUX , just wanted to give you a heads up that I've updated this ticket description with the latest link to our new styleguide from the Universal Design team.
Thanks for the head up! @JulieMass Will take a look at it now.
Hey @NokaUX ,
Same here. As we discussed in Discord, I've updated the ticket description and acceptance criteria and added the migration from the new design system.
Here's what I've changed:

Let me know if I missed anything and can you also please double-check that the final estimation is correct?
Thanks,
Hi @NokaUX Could you please point me to the right place in the Figma file were I should look for your designs to give you feedback? I can't seem to find them in the Figma file. Also, if you can help me out understand what you did here so I can provide you feedback that would be super helpful as well.
Thank you!
Hi @NokaUX ,
Thank you for sharing the progress you've made on the designs in our last weekly meeting 😀! As promised, I've reviewed them in Figma and left some comments and feedback there.
@chadcrotchett @JulieMass flagging this ticket because it is in review but has no one assigned.
As discussed in today's weekly meeting, assigning this ticket to @AlinaU1 and @julianalobosque as they both are going to work together with this task.
(CC. @dbradham, @chadcrotchett)
I forgot: just a reminder to @julianalobosque and @AlinaU1 when you begin working on the task.
Since there's still some work to be done, it would be helpful to update the status to "work in progress" before you start. Noa had left it marked as "review" but the current state is more accurately reflected by "work in progress".
Thanks!
