Is Netplay within the realm of possibility?
It's as the title says, with this most recent update the game runs at a very stable framerate and looks significantly better, I think that netplay would pretty much put this port of SRB2 on par with the PC version.
If not, that's understandable. Regardless, this port is amazing and I'd like to thank you personally for making it possible to bring this absolute classic with me anywhere I go.

I think netplay is possible. However, I don't know if it's worth implementing it... it seems like there's not a lot of users, currently.
I think the most interesting question is if it would be possible to connect to people playing/hosting on the PC version. If so, then this might be considerably more worth the effort, I think.
The reason I say this is because SRB2 has a fairly good number of active servers on a regular basis, and I think playing online would be neat
