Suggestion: email mailing list
Would you please consider setting up a mailing list for important messages like: "you have to upgrade by x-y-z or you will loose all your coins". It is not practical in every case to monitor Social media chat for this type of thing especially when holders may have multiple projects.
Obviously, I hope this will not happen again, I consider this a close call for me and it only became clear to me that coins would be lost when I got a message out-of-band (someone other than the dero team). But I do appreciate the refactor rewrite process. If you really can't support a permanent upgrade path, I think the beta warning is not enough and there needs to be a message up front that one must monitor one of these sources for this type of thing.
That said, thank you for all your innovations and this is one of my favorite projects. But I suspect that given the importance of the wallet in the consensus and the complexity on your side, I think another type notification would be very good. I can't think of anything more basic than email. If your not a fan of emailing services like me, I found that mailtrain and docker-mailserver server can get the job done with as little work as possible, but some time needs to be put into DNS entries and making sure the IP is not blacklisted..
