Newbie here, so I may be doing something stupid, but I installed the php-dev and dbus dependencies, and ran the given command but it errors for me:

$ phpize ./configure make && make install
Configuring for:
PHP Api Version:         20210902
Zend Module Api No:      20210902
Zend Extension Api No:   420210902
make: *** No rule to make target 'install'. Stop.
