Open Meemamoo opened this issue 3 years ago • 3 comments

Hi, I've download various different files to make sure its not just the one I want which is Australia but i keep getting the same message when i try to mount it.

'The Disc Image File Is Corrupted'

I've tried with widows 10's own disc image mount tool and also WinCDEmu. I tried winzip. Nothings seems to work.

Be very grateful if someone could tell me what I'm doing wrong, I assume it is something that my fault not the downloads.

Cheers.

This is not an issue with OTM or their image files so this will probably be archived but if you asked, I might as well answer it here. The map .img files are not disk images nor they are archives, this is why you get errors trying to open them with those tools. There is a program called GpsMapEdit that lets you open .img map files if you want to view them if you want to see what you have downloaded. "GPSMapEdit 2.1" https://www.geopainting.com

There are free ones: QMapShack and GPXSee lets you open .img map files as well.

As the maps are built automatically on a weekly basis, just give it another try one week later - the problem might have disappeared magically.
