Coastline/water-body issue between England and France

Downloaded the pre-packaged garmin version for both the "british isles", and only for "great britain". Both seem to be missing some water on huge square shaped areas, as if someone had selected an area over the coastline (covering part land, part sea), and just deleted the "blue" from the sea layer.

The funny thing is, they are broken in a slightly different pattern:

And yet more strangely, last weeks dump was broken yet again slightly differently.
