What went wrong
Either ALE or Vim extends highlights when the text inside of a highlight is modified.

Reproducing the bug
- Edit a file with a highlight, with a linter that requires files to be saved
- Press enter when in a highlight section
:ALEInfo
I've seen this happening with other linter plugins too, so it's possibly associated with a vim limitation, but the issue is less of a concern in general when linting is dynamic, because the highlighting bug vanishes quickly, when linting is file-save based, it doesn't vanish until file is saved, so the effect is much worse.
