Triggering on pasting tags

I have updated to v1.7.0 and I find that when I normally (ctrl + v) paste tags the tag is formatted as . I have tried altering the regular expression but the undesired behaviour persists.

I have a separate hotkey for triggering this plugin, and I would prefer the option to turn off automatically triggering.
