[Bug]: Create backup and close doesn't push sometimes

Describe the bug

When using this command, often times the plugin does not backup all the things I've written. For example, when typing something and immediately using the backup and close command, the sentence is only staged for commit, not pushed.

Steps to reproduce

Bind backup and close to a hotkey, type anything and immediately backup and close.

macOS

2.14.0

exactly the same issue here, but on windows 10

Just had this issue on Win 10 as well. Pushed/pulled manually a couple of times, then it just as mysteriously started to push on backup again. Sorry, don't think I can provide any details, I wasn't watching the console, except the last time, when it worked again.
