It would be great to add this feature.

I planned to do a new release after the new i3-ipc-glibc release, but I guess I can make a minor release with the the changes since the last release.

That would be nice. Like a 1.2.1 or similar, just to keep things cool an tidy. Also it would be useful to clearly list the binding mode indicator feature in a changelog. However, I got it working just by puling new master and rebuilding the deb package. Awesome work! Thank you.
