The recently-released Streams 0.4.8 should fix these timeouts in most cases, please give it a try and let me know if it still happens for you. Thanks!

As far as i can tell this is still an issue (Trying to run SpongeForge with MC Eternal modpack, removing this mod allows the server to start, where without removing this causes it to crash) could also be in combination with one of the other fixes i had tried to no avail, but this is definitely the main thing that actually allowed the server to start up.
