GIF sometimes sent as JPG

thanks a lot for the followining details we got from a debug chatting:

I’m on V1.54.5, and iOS 18.3.2. Tap on paperclip -> Gallery -> scroll gallery to select gif. The preview in the gallery is animated, but it’s not animated in the message preview anymore. Once sent neither sender nor receiver see an animated version.

the message info indeed shows JPG already

so we know it is not the renderer or some issue in a specific GIF file.

still, it is a bit special, i cannot reproduce it (yet :)

just re-tested:

this is fixed by one of the recent changes in that area, the example is animated as expecte everywhere
