What file type is it? Are you able to play any file at all? Are you able to post an example file that doesn't play? If not, send it to me via email.

My file is mp3 however I've tried .wav and .avi Nothing works and my files work everywhere else. I recently homebrewd my 3ds so is there anything I can do?

I got a fresh.wav file. Now it's error 1001 what do I do?

AVI files aren't supported. Only some WAV files are supported. And MP3 files that can be played with the mpg123 library are supported, which I think should be all of them. So if your mp3 file isn't playing then that's a bug.

The error 1001 you're getting is because the wav decoder failed to initialise. When I wrote this program 6 years ago, I didn't think to make the error message more meaningful. I haven't seen error reports like this however. How are you running ctrmus, and what version are you using?
