Is there any way to increase the precision of position floats?

I'm running into cases where neighboring SNPs have the same position float due to the output rounding to only 5 decimal places, which results in some problems in my downstream analyses. Is there any way to increase the precision of position floats, or any other ways people have gotten around this collision problem?
