Still viable?

Open jet438 opened this issue 8 months ago • 5 comments

Is this still a viable project to buy a premade board? In the likelihood that the answer is a no, I'm the Noob's Noob with the process submitting something to somebody like PCBway. Have just never done it before. I'm assuming that I just need to give them the Zip file (Gerber) and the BOM? If you guys used a particular service, such as PCBway, and your design is public then it might be a little simpler for me if your manufacturer already has the files, parts, etc. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm also interested in this. I submitted once to PCBWay for another project (BlueSCSI) but that one had CSV files for the BOM and pick and play info. I didn't see that in this project.

I think he stopped making them a couple of years ago. I have since started making them on my own since I use them alot. You're welcome to email me for help/info. [email protected]

All the files needed are within the git. I used JLCPCB. There are no Pick and Place files. The BOM is a little off, but only in that you'll order more parts than you need.

After a couple of emails with @nobodydontknow , we discovered the issue was the board was simply missing transistor Q3 (For pin 3) and the controller (ESP32) being potentially bad.

Since it's an open project, I may post completed units to ebay just for those that still want them or need them as replacements. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_ssn=michail1

@Michail1 do you have exixe for IN-14?

@Michail1 can you share CPL file?

@Fraizler I don't have any right now. I will be making more shortly. I did have them posted to ebay under Michail1

Sorry, I do not have a CPL file. I've been manually making them as I need them with any extra posted to the bay. I guess I should really take time and make a placement file and just order them premade by China.

Another note... I did make a programmer using an M5Stack so that I don't have to find the files and using a computer each time I make the boards. Saves time. I never did get the POGO pin programmer to work and didn't get a response from deku; I made several attempts.
