Is there a way to know if a third party dock is safe to use?

Open AngheloAlf opened this issue 4 years ago • 2 comments

Hi!

I have recently bought a third party dock, but I haven't used it because I'm worried of it bricking my Switch.

Is there a way to test if it is safe to use?

Here are some photos of it.

I know it can be a dumb question, but I prefer to ask. Also, if this is not the correct place to ask, where can I ask?

Thanks

Try GBATemp, I'm sure they could help you. Also I doubt a dock could brick your switch, it wouldn't really mess with anything on the NAND, it just does display stuff AFAIK

There is a power delivery issue with some third party docks that causes issues for the switch. It's bricked quite a few switches.
