AEH-W4E1 - IP maybe It Is offline?

Open antoniolespaul opened this issue 3 years ago • 6 comments

I installed the addon perfectly, it worked without problems until for maintenance reasons I had to unplug the air conditioner for a few days. Upon restarting the HiSmartLife app finds the air conditioner perfectly online, but on HA, in the logs I read that it cannot connect to a specific IP, I waited many hours, because I thought it had to update the info but nothing. the addon has in memory an IP that is no longer valid, of the AEH-W4E1 module, how can I update the new IP?

The IP address is stored in a config file (a file for each A/C). SSH into HA, and edit the file. The config should be under /usr/share/hassio/homeassistant/hisense. Alternatively you can use the "Terminal & SSH" addon, and edit the file under config/hisense. Please restart the addon after editing the file. You could also just delete the file, and allow it to recreate it, assuming you've used the original app after the IP address change. To avoid this issue in the future, reserve a static IP address for the A/C in your router.

Just remove the addon and the hisens folder in config then the addon will pickup new ip or units

Same problem too. The config file mentions the actual IP.

I was having the same problem, I had to remove the AC from the mobile app and then stop the addon while also deleting the config file. I then readded the AC to the mobile app and finally restarted the addon and everything worked again
