[Feature Request/Bug] Selecting overlapping instances

When trying to select entity on the current layer - entities on higher layer may get in the way. Only way to fix it I've found is to disable "Allow selection when inactive", but this messed up Rectangle Selection tool.

Request is: Make selection prioritize currently selected layer. Entities at higher layer can't be selected when cursor is hovering over entity at the selected layer.

You can quickly toggle the single layer mode to deal with this case. Prioritizing curent layer would lead to less intuitive results as the visuals won't align anymore with actual priorities.
