You should give an option on Decrediton installer on Windows OS not to open automatically after install/upgrade so as users before running Decrediton to give the right permissions and exclusions on their firewall and antivirus programs to avoid any issues with syncing and running Decrediton. Users should be advised to allow connection through their firewall of %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\decrediton\decrediton.exe and the 4 .exe files in %LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\decrediton\resources\bin folder especially dcrd.exe and dcrwallet.exe . And if they have any other problems with their antivirus, exclude those files on it as well.

An option to restart Windows after install/upgrade on Windows OS will be a useful addition too on the installer. When I've upgraded from 1.6.0 to 1.6.1 I've got some messages about another instance of dcrd running although I couldn't find it on Task Manager or with tasklist command. To move on from this problem I've closed Decrediton and I've just restarted Windows 10 then Decrediton 1.6.1 opened without any problem.
