Differnet `mixer is on` animation.
@alexlyp disabled lately the side bar animation we used to have when autobuyers or mixer were on because of performance issues - see https://github.com/decred/decrediton/pull/3231#discussion_r577146043
We need new animation, would it make sense to use the same animation we use in the privacy page ? 🤔
Well, that's the point in https://github.com/decred/decrediton/pull/3123 also, though I think it's better to remove gif optimizations from it for now and release it despite them. I don't think the gif used in the privacy page resembles autobuyer feature properly. Perhaps @linnutee has some ideas about this.
Got it in the pipeline to work out a better icon metaphor for it. If "nodes" one that as used in the initial design causes performance issues, i'd use the generic ring/dot loader until we got something better.
@linnutee The nodes one works just fine for the privacy page, but in this case we are discussing the other icon we use on the sidebar when the mixer is on, ticket buyer is on or ticket purchase attempt is being processed.
Which currently looks like the following - now it's static earlier it was spinning and it caused some performance issues:
Hmm I had something like this proposed in an earlier iteration for notifying the user in the nav: https://gyazo.com/f79770d4427951d44f5600d61cf436c9
This could be the same three dot animation in a smaller size as we have for pending tx's.
Trouble with having it up there is mainly lack of context.
Oh that's looks good, but i think we use that indicator also when the unmixed autobuyer is on, so i guess we need to place it some global context.
@alexlyp @linnutee
I guess I have a plan regarding this one, will use the indicator suggested by @linnutee above:
Also, instead of having it next to logo and showing always general text, I will show the indicator next to the Privacy and Security
menu item when the mixer is on, but next to the Staking
when the ticket autobuyer is on or there is a ticket purchase attempt.
