Flickering "Loading more transactions..." message

In Transactions "History" tab, scrolling down the tx list occasionally leads to a flickering "Loading more transactions..." message while performance is drastically diminished. This behavior is probably due to successive calls of getTransactions action when txs are widely spaced.
