I think it's fair to say the maintenance burden on the unstable is a bit high (other than maybe Flatpak), but I'll let @lazka comment

All these suggestions whilst great presume support for songs-that-are-not-there (separate to masked songs, i.e. visible) Even if we can display _any_ metadata, e.g. after #3242, we still won't persist _all_...
