Redesign the progress dialog (attempt n°2)
Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe. When an edit is done on a picture, we are faced with a big circle supposed to give us the progression of that task. The problem is... it's not very pretty!
Describe the solution you'd like I would like the progress dialog to be redesigned. And in order to help the development, as usual, I've created some mockups:
Mockups
| While tagging | While copying | While moving | While deleting |
Additional context This is not the first time I'm requesting this feature, but this time, I've taken in account your suggestions!
Perhaps it could show more than one file name when doing multiple operations? Like, the last two files before the current one? It's definitely a design choice, but it might be helpful in giving context and be like a mico-log of what's being done, especially on fast phones.

What about that?

I love it! At least, I love it. I can see some people definitely preferring the first option. ~~Would it be reasonable to add an option in Settings that could toggle between the two views?~~ Either way, the designs look good. Actually, since the second design looks similar to what we'd see in a desktop application (like from Adobe or Autodesk), it might be preferred for tablet users, too. :O
Thanks for helping to improve this already great gallery app!
Edit: ignore the strikethrough text. I'm cognitively challenged, apparently, and didn't actually read the details you put. Tapping to open or collapse is a genius move. Would it remember between operations or would it have to be expanded each time?
Any plans to implement this? It's been about a year, so I figured I ask what the status is.
It's labeled P4 and it hasn't changed.
Looking at other recently pinged older issues, it's fairly clear I'd just be wasting your time (and, thus, my time) by asking for updates in the relevant issue ticket.
For future reference, do you prefer to give feedback in other channels (eg discussions) or simply let people know progress has been made by pushing the update and adding to the release notes?

This.
