Item title sort & first letter grouping
Good day. I'm really frustrated because I can't sort images by First letter or first word in sections like the date settings.
Describe the solution you'd like The ability to sort images in sections like date by the first letter or first word of the filename. It's available in certain file managers like Mixplorer, Solid explorer, Fv File explorer, F-Stop media gallery and Directory Opus on Windows. It's very useful to find and sort songs and images if the artist name is the first word in the filename.
Describe alternatives you've considered All the apps mentioned above are alternatives I use interchangeably. However Aves is my preferred media manager.
Additional context Image 1 with Sections Image 2 has no sections for First letter or First word sorting.
From your need, it seems the issue is not the sections, but the sorting. The closest sort options are by "album & item title" or "path", but you would need by "item title" (or "file name").
Yes. But specifically having images separated when scrolling to be grouped by First letter, like 100 images starting with the letter F are separated from 50 images starting with the letter G.
It would be awesome if this option could be applied to the Albums screen as well. Albums are separated into sections by First letter eg. A(Adventure, Amazing, Amended), B(Bobcat, Bauxite, Balloons).
