Bluetooth audio delay

Open shaunx777 opened this issue 5 months ago • 2 comments

When playing videos with Bluetooth headphones or earphones, audio lags behind the video by a noticeable delay. Other apps on my phone correctly compensate for Bluetooth latency

To Reproduce

  1. Connect Bluetooth headphones
  2. Open Aves Libre
  3. Play any video file

Expected behavior Video playback should compensate for Bluetooth audio latency, so that audio and video remain in sync

System information and logs Package: deckers.thibault.aves.libre Installer: org.fdroid.fdroid Aves version: 1.13.8-libre, build 15902 Flutter: stable 3.27.4 Android version: 14, API 34 Android build: lineage_guacamole-userdebug 14 AP2A.240905.003 fabff6c68d Device: OnePlus GM1911 Display: pixel ratio=3.5, logical=411.42857142857144x891.4285714285714, physical=1440.0x3120.0 Support: dynamic colors=true, geocoder=false, HDR=true, wide gamut=true Mobile services: not available Connectivity: wifi System locales: en_GB Storage volumes: /storage/emulated/0/ Storage grants: /storage/emulated/0/Movies/, /storage/emulated/0/Pictures/, /storage/emulated/0/DCIM/, /storage/emulated/0/Download/InstaFlow/, /storage/emulated/0/Download/4c/, /storage/emulated/0/Android/media/ Error reporting: false

Additional context

  • The Bluetooth earphone model I am using is OnePlus Buds Z2
  • When starting playback of any video the audio seems to start, and then start again which might be the root of the desync.

Could you please try with mpv and let me know whether you have the same issue?

No I don't have the same issue when using MPV. No audio lag nor the double playback start.
