Image comparison tools
I am in need of a feature that allows me to compare a series of photographs. Mainly to check for focus and then decide which ones to delete.
Did you see somewhere that feature implemented the way you would like?
Would it be comparing images one by one, or somehow as a group?
Would you need comparing at different zoom levels, or having the images full screen be enough?
@deckerst I haven't really looked, because I like aves too much. But I have used Adobe Lightroom and I like their implementation. I compare multiple takes of the same scene so I need to get close. Seeing focus differences on the small screen is tough otherwise. And to notice the small differences it helps to switch back and forth between the candidates. Faster I can do that the better.
I'm happy to answer more questions. Thank you for your time.
I meant Lightroom on pc not android.
This would help when trying to decide which photo to keep out of the many taken in burst mode. Or just to compare between 2 images with a tiny difference.
The way it could work is by having 2 images (1) side by side, (2) above and below and (3) super imposed one on top of another with an indicator to show which is which.
To compare two images, you can enable Settings > Viewer > Tap on screen edges to show previous/next item. Then it's easy to compare by instantly switching neighbour images with a side tap.
@tonn333 would you mind taking a screen recording of your comparing workflow in Lightroom on PC? You can share it via email if you're not comfortable sharing it here (or it's too large).
@deckerst this tap on screen edges setting already solves quite a bit. Now if it only stayed zoomed in. I don't have access to my pc for what can be months unfortunately.
